So, House of Lies premiere……it has potential thats for sure. I love Kristen Bell, so that’s why I tuned in. Then I saw John Ralphio from Parks and Rec, then Richard Fish from Ally McBeal, and I was a happy camper. I like the main character, that actor is very good. I like the whole breaking the 4th wall thing its got going on, I love the son and the grandfather. I’ll give it a few more episodes to see if I really like it. 

Usually, I’m all over a Showtime series (Nurse Jackie, United States of Tara, Weeds, Californication, Homeland, Dexter etc.) but I don’t know how I feel about HOL. (I tuned in for Kristen Bell as well, durp durp durp.)

As far as the style/dialogue goes it’s a little over-the-top-obnoxious for me and I’ve seen my share of TV. Hopefully its characters/relationships get a little more emotionally grounded with the outrageous situations being more of a premise/hook.
